Using the Toolbar Editor

  • What changes to the application should a facilitator be enabled to make?

This is the question to be answered when using the Toolbar Editor. This editor is for designing the toolbar for an application, where simple controls are provided for a non-technical Facilitator to make day-to-day changes to, for example, font size, scanning speed or volume. It is easy to export a toolbar from one ComLink application and import it into another one, if required.

On the Messenger toolbar, we might want to have a control to set whether the Blissymbol or Pictogram representations are displayed.

The toolbar is available even when running a ComLink application with the smaller runtime version of ComLink, without the Editors (this will be the version distributed to end-users). Of course, for changes which cannot be made via the toolbar, the Facilitator will need to get help from an Integrator at a regional assessment centre.
